SUNDAY FALL: FEVER @ HOUSING NY GALLERY 22 OCTOBER — 24 OCTOBER 2021
It was nice to be able to put together drawings, books, and poetry in a gallery setting. HOUSING allowed me to present my work and connect with the surrounding community and those interested in art, poetry, and books.
For three days, from Friday to Sunday, people walked in and out of HOUSING gallery, looked at the drawings on the wall, read poetry and connected with the books on display. The true highlight was the overwhelming response. People really seemed to enjoy the event. I am feeling gratitude and joy for the opportunity to put on this exhibition.
“Fever is a new collection of poems. In a global pandemic, fever is a state of excitement and also a symptom of coronavirus. This new publication is both intimate and a shared experience of pandemic life, drawing on themes related to New York City, boredom, the body as poetic subject during a pandemic, and loneliness during the lock down.”
Fever is designed and published by Sunday Fall. Each book is a hand drawn limited special edition.
