Thaddaeus Ropac Paris presents a new showing of photographs by Robert Mapplethorpe. The black and white portraits of subjects like Patti Smith and Truman Capote is curated by French artist and photographer, Jean-Marc Bustamante.
In the press release for the show it stated, “Photographed in their intimate domestic space, the portraits of adults reveal a vulnerability far removed from the dramatic tension of studio portraits”.
