Massimo De Carlo in Paris organized a show of new paintings by New York artist Nate Lowman.

Along with Dan Colen and Dash Snow, Lowman and friends were dubbed by NYMAG as “Warhol’s children”. The main painting on view, titled, “Frankenstein Vesuvio” is an homage to Warhol, who also painted the historic volcano.

I like the painting alot. Frankenstein Vesuvio celebrates history and natural beauty with Loman’s signature xerox black lines. In the back there’s another painting, a bright orange flower that’s really cool too. The energy is there.
