Along with Dan Colen and Dash Snow, Lowman and friends were dubbed by NYMAG as “Warhol’s children”. Massismo de Carlo Paris organized a new show by Lowman titled, “mothers indigestion”. The main painting on view, “Frankenstein Vesuvio” is an homage to Warhol, who also painted the historic volcano. I like the painting alot. Frankenstein Vesuvio celebrates history and natural beauty with Loman’s signature xerox black lines. In the back there’s another painting, a bright orange flower that’s really cool too. The energy is there.
